With the 50th District pretty much up for grabs, who will come out on top in the Varsity Doubleheader tonight?

 

This game presents some interesting scenarios in the 50th district tournament seedings. Corbin has already wrapped up the #1 seed and South Laurel is currently #2 with a 3-3 record with W'burg & Whitley both at 1-3. The team that finishes above the other in the district will have to face South Laurel with Trey Smith likely on the mound in an elimination game in the district tourney with the #4 seed taking on Corbin.

 

It will be interesting to see who pitches for Williamsburg and for Whitley Co. tonight.

Pretty sure it will be Witt and Shelley on the mound for Williamsburg.

That is who I would expect to throw for Williamsburg...............not so sure about Whitley though.

I think Williamsburg has an excellent team and i also think that Witt and Shelley are both excellent pitchers. My question is this: Why are they always mentioned as a combo? It's always "Witt and Shelly" never "Witt or Shelly". Just something i noticed.....lol, have a nice day

Witt will throw one game and Shelly the other. Actually they are siamese twins joined at the hip....laughing, j/k. Any way thats the name of that tune...lol

Saw where Whitley and the Jackets split their games last night. What does this do to the district? I know Corbin is the #1 seed and South Laurel the #2 seed. What is the tiebreaker for the other two teams? Williamsburg at Williamsburg would be a tough first round game for the Hounds. I can just see Root hitting a grand slam to win the game for the Jackets. Scary times could be ahead for the Hounds, if the Jackets fall to the number 4 seed.
