State title preview in game #1? Can that happen?

 

I'm going to assume that Kirsten did NOT pitch against Grant County, correct?

 

 

I'd say she didn't pitch in the 7 - 0 shelling Ryle took from East Central on Friday either.

I'd say you're safe. The only she seems to give up runs is in extra innings when teams get to start a runner at 2nd base.

The international rule about starting a runner at second base is the worst rule that fast pitch softball could ever have enstated.

 

As far as the Holmes Round Robin Tournament, I was there up until about 1:30pm...the only reasno why I left was because of the heat added to the lack of sleep from the night before started to drain me quickly.

 

There was some fairly decent softball being played. Wish I could have stayed for the rest of the day to watch the completiong of the Ryle/Male game and to watch the Ryle/South Laurel game as well.

 

Kirsten Allen was brilliant in the circle like she always was...if she would have some better defense behind her in the field and at the plate, there would be no way that she'd give up many runs. Her rise ball was fantastic. I wasn't too impressed with the Ryle batters at the plate except for the centerfielder #9 who would be an extremely hard out if she could perfect her slap hits...she could play at a lot of places if she could do that.

 

One other comment that I want to make is that it was awesome to see some of my southern folk up here. There was one South Laurel fan that I had a couple of conversations with and it kind of made me homesick a little speaking with him and him asking me if I knew this person and that person.
