April 29, 200719 yr Troy Smith to Ravens with last pick in Round 5. Lowest a Heisman winner has gone? Jason White didn't even get drafted.
April 29, 200719 yr Author Troy Smith to Ravens with last pick in Round 5. Lowest a Heisman winner has gone?Doug Flutie went to the Bears in the 11th round, but he had already committed to play in the USFL.
April 29, 200719 yr I heard Bush circulated a video to all the teams prior to the draft, showing him in action post second surgery. Willis McGahee did the same before the draft after his surgery. The video was not real good, however, and was favoring the leg. Could be a reason for the slide. Hope all turns out well for him.
April 29, 200719 yr Troy Smith to Ravens with last pick in Round 5. Lowest a Heisman winner has gone? It was good to see Smith finally get picked. I think he can be a very good backup. Him being vertically challenged, a not so good combine workout and the Fla. game hampered his draft status.

The video was sent, but it didn't hurt his stock, it just didn't do anything for him. He was showing that he could run on it and lift, but not full speed and not much weight. The video isn't the reason he's dropped. The second surgery and not being able to go on pro day or in private workouts are what did it.
April 29, 200719 yr I know he's had injury issues but I can't believe Dan Mozes hasn't been taken yet.
April 29, 200719 yr What is the record for UofL players taken in a draft? It would have to be the 6 in the 2005 draft: Shelton, LeFors, Rhodes, McCune, Gates, Russell. In 2006 4 guys were drafted: Spitz, Dumervil, Brandon Johnson, and Stanley. I think there will be 6 guys go this year: Okoye, Bush, Smith, Gay, Harris and Sharp.
April 29, 200719 yr That just hit me... The University of Louisville might end today having 16 players drafted in the past 3 years- and still have their best team next season.
