Has Jeff Embrey resigned from Trigg Co. to become the Head Coach at Lyon Co. An Assistant Coach in the 2nd region informed me of this rumor/fact.

 

Wasn't Embrey already living in Lyon Co. to begin with?

Not unexpected ... Embrey lives in Lyon County and nearly took the job three years ago, when he was still an assistant at Trigg County.

Yes. Embrey took the job Thursday and told the team Friday. He lives about five miles from Lyon County HS and his family. He was a finalist for the job three years ago when they hired Jimmie Johnson. Lyon County has been 9-65 in the three years since Ty Rogers graduated.

They have been playing a lot of young players over the past 2 years. They were more competitive this past year. They should be able to win a few games next year.

Other teams in the 2nd have lost some pretty good players. Lyon has theirs back. They could go .500 or better against class "A" schools.

Could Mike Wright make a return to the Trigg sidelines?

I'm sure he will apply. After hiring the last two coaches who lived out of the county, Trigg may look to hire "one of their own." Or they may choose to hire someone who will make the move to Trigg County.

One thing to keep in mind about the search. Trigg has an interim principal and an interim AD right now. Who will lead the search? What if neither interim person keeps their job?

 

As far as someone who will work to build a program at the youth level up through middle school, Wright has done that before. It will be an interesting coaching search to say the least.

There's been a lot of Fathers to coach their sons and not allow conflicts to rise. During a 2 hour practice maybe Hayes should have made the ENTIRE TEAM run the stairs and upper level of the gym. Instead he made alll run except 1 certain player. That player got to shoot free throws and 3-pointers for 2 hours.
