Great night for baseball at Champion Windows Park. Suprised that the Raiders threw Hughes, he has thrown both losses but it turned out to be the right decission as he took a no hitter into the 6th inning. The Rebels threw their ace, Brad Korhman who gave up a leadoff hit but then settled in and spread a few hits here and there as the Raiders bats were not as hot as usual. The Raiders are going to have to get their heads in the game as missed opportunities such as 2 missed hit and run plays were ignored and will cost them down the road.

Boone now has Louisville Eastern and Lexington Catholic on Saturday.

Congrats to the Raiders. They played better ball tonight and deserved the win. I have only one earned run allowed by Brad Krohman as the Ryle cause was aided by 5 BC errors. The defense has got to toughen up.

Great weather and great crowd for a ballgame. I estimate the crowd at well over 1000 folks, and don't believe I am off by much. A lot of great student body support tonight for both clubs. I have said this in previous posts, but if you are a HS baseball fan you need to start coming out to Florence for these Friday night games.

You can get away with those errors against weaker opponents, but we saw what happens when you give teams like Ryle or Cov Cath extra outs. Good luck down at Harrison County WebGems.
