Jimmy Uebel hits a gapper with Kyle Kramer aboard to win the game in the bottom of the seventh inning for Brossart.

 

The Mustangs spotted the Breds a 5-0 lead through the top of the fourth inning, when Brossart put two on the board in the home fourth and four more up in the home fifth, giving them a 6-5 advantage.

 

Chris Simon, the Brossart starter worked 6 and 2/3 innings and was within one out of the complete game victory when Pangallo singled to rightfield, knocking in the tying run. Tyler Verst came on in relief and got the final out of the inning.

 

Kyle Kramer singled with one out in the bottom of the seventh and moved to third on another hit. Jimmy Uebel ended it with a shot to the gap in left-center for a long single and the game winner.

 

Brossart improves to 8-5 and has won their last five straight. Tyler Verst, the reliever got the win, and Clint Nessler, on in relief of NCC starter Mike Enzweiler took the loss.

 

BB - 7 runs, 10 hits

NCC - 6 runs, 5 hits

 

Brossart will be idle until Saturday when they travel to Louisville for games with Louisville Southern and Pleasure Ridge Park.
