time2punt Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Thought some would enjoy watching this kid run. Cips are from 2 games this past season. Includes his 99 yard TD run. Only a few of his 2,143 rushing yards. Dalton will be profiled in the next issue of Bigger, Faster, Stronger (BFS) magazine. Dalton is a Junior-to-be, 5'10" 190 lbs. time2punt Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 Any thoughts / comments on this kid? He will attend Nat'l Underclassmen combine in Virginia in May and has been invited to attend Nike Camp in Missouri on June 1.
iPapi Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 He really needs to work on his stride...he has enough leg-length that his stride could be much longer which would greatly improve his overall speed. He looks to be a nice back, too.
iPapi Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I'm sure his coach probably already knows drills on how to improve stride, but PM me if you'd like to know any.
The Juggernaut Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Please tell me he's not a 2 sport athlete who is going to ditch football for another sport in college.
time2punt Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Football - 110% although he does run track fairly well - was 2nd in state middle school meet in 100 to Justin Green of Male while in 8th grade
Cynical Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Looks like a very good back, but I didn't see the speed I expected after hearing about him. Perhaps you could include some clips of him creating seperation when he gets into the open field.

The Juggernaut Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I've heard so much about him I was glad to finally see film.

Had a slight tear in hamstring suffered at U of L passing camp in June. Bothered him quite a bit until late in the season. Kid doesn't know how to ease up. Will see about getting some more clips.
time2punt Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Just added a couple of clips to previous video. http://northbullitteagles.ky.usfootballnet.com/video/default.asp?id=122257

iPapi Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Go to Rivals.com and watch some of those videos...it will change your mind instantly. I watch plenty of videos on Rivals.com and I understand what you are saying. Perhaps the kids you are seeing on there are faster than Cissell, but the video probably doesn't do them any justice either. One more thing...lots of highlight films are "tweaked" a little, too. Meaning that the speed of the reel is adjusted to make the person look faster than they really are.
