CountyPride Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Dane Damron, former Boyd County High School coach , now present Kentucky Christian University Coach put the pads back on to throw 5 TD's and Rush for 1 in a Indoor Arena football game. Damron was a QB for East Carter High School and won a National Championship at Georgetown University...But pretty impressive accomplishment at 35 yrs old. Dan played for the Huntington Heroes, which just last week he WAS the QB Coach. Good Job Dane. :thumb:
Ram Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 My son and I watch the Huntington Heroes at most of their home games, I hope he plays again this weekend. Hard to believe he played, did something happen to Jimmy Skinner or did Dane just want to play? At the last Heroes home game Dane was arguing against a roughing the passer call against the Heroes, I wounder how he feels about that kind of call now.
Blackshirts Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I would love to see him play again this weekend. They play Erie Freeze, which former Morehead State player, ex-NFL player David Dinkins is QBing the team.

oldram Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I personally just hope he doesnt get injured. He has a great class of recruitments anxiously waiting to play football under his hand. If he gets hurt their out of a head coach. I do think its great that he got in there and did well. I always think that bodes well for the boys to see that their head coach can still play.
statmanhensley Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I wouldn't necessarily say they're out a head coach if he's hurt in one of these games. Granted he might not be able to get around as easily but they'd more than likely still have him.

cvillecat Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 If his passion and enthusiasm rubs off on his college players they will be a tough group of kids. I bet he has the whirlpool reserved for the next few days.

Between the two teams, 1500 yards in passing, I think the final was 61-55 or something like that. It was like an arena game outdoors.
