Read post 41.....Kobe has zero chance at the MVP this season, but the fact remains that the Suns are better without Nash than the Lakers without Kobe. One of the reasons the Suns record is worse is because they have to change the entire style of play when Nash isn't on the floor. It's hard to make those adjustments in a one game situation. The Lakers run the triangle offense....If ran properly it's much easier to do a mix and match so to speak.

Sorry I was wrong. The Lakers are 3-2 without Kobe, 37-38 with him. They lost to the Knicks and Bucks without him, beat the Suns, Warriors and Hawks without him. With Nash out the Suns beat Portland and Philly and lost to Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta and Utah.

If not Nash then clearly Dirk. The old "best player on the best team" theory definitley applies with him.

Nash tonight vs. Utah. 13 points, 18 assists and ZERO turnovers vs. a team that has 49 wins. I am not a Suns fan or hater, it is just that it seems that night in and night out that Nash gets the job done and it is extremley rare to see him have a horrible game.

Like I said b4 its a lot easier to have those stats with the support Nash has. Almost everyone on his team at least has a good night everynight and is an all star caliber player. Look at the supporting cast that kobe has and show me Amare, or Marion, or even a Bell or Barbosa type player to help him. The suns are a better team without Nash than the lakers are without Kobe making him the most valuble to his team...... How many players on the suns bench could start on many other teams. How many players on the lakers team could even make another teams roster. If Nash is so great then what happens to him in the playoffs he hasnt even made the finals with the team he has he should be in the finals year in and year out. Just because nashs team wins more games through out the season doesnt mean that he should be ahead of KOBE ar anyone for that matter in the MVP race.. Nash is a great player on a great team. Kobe is a great player on a team that couldnt beat the florida gators without him. enough said

Kobe averages more points and rebounds and .4 less turnovers per game. Nash shoots better from the field, free throw line and shoots better from the 3 point line than Kobe shoots overall from the field even. And Nash has 52 double doubles in comparison to Kobe's 11 for the year and both players have played the same amount of games. Nash's turnover to assist ratio is much better than Kobe's as well. There is no way that Kobe deserves the MVP over Nash or Nowitski for that matter. If Nash were not to win then it should certainly be Nowitski. I realize that a Kobe fan is not going to accept this and that is fine. But it is just not true that Kobe would deserve MVP over either Nowitski or Nash.
