Not saying that Holmes will beat NCC, but you had better play a whole lot better against Holmes then you did tonight against Dixie, if indeed HHS is Highlands and not Holmes.....:thumb:

 

If you overlook Holmes, like I think Conner did tonight, then you will not be moving on to the finals on Saturday....

Agree completly. I'm sure NCC won't be looking past Holmes. Holmes just beat Connor on their home floor and are playing their best ball of the season. The big girl was the difference tonight, and will be tough to handle in addition to Weaver. Holmes also made some very nice interior passes tonight between their big people. I thought Connor looked very tight at times, especially late in the game, while Holmes played with more composure.

Bottom line, it is NDA's tourney to loose. They are easily the best team, with a great combination of inside and outside play. I don't think they will have a lot of trouble in the semi's or finals IF they just play their game.

There was only .6 on the clock that I was looking at, and in fact I am certain it said .6. It is mighty tough to catch and shoot a pass, either with .6/.7 ticks on a clock.. Timekeeper was slow on the draw JMO.....

 

Will agree with you about the passes and penteration, but with a foul to give, you foul no if's and or butts....

 

Typo: Dixie took the ball out from under the NCC basket to start off the event....... Zone or no zone, you get the ball to your shooters...and Dixie didn't do it.....thus they lost the game....

Agree they should have gotten the ball to their key players. You always want your best players taking the win/loose shot. I think some credit has to go to NCC for preventing that, however.

Great game for the Lady Colonels! Great win for the NCC Breds! The last 10 seconds of the game....NCC did what they had to do...they kept Dixie"s shooters from getting the ball. Thus they won!! Poor officiating also was quite a factor in this game! I do believe the Dixie team deserves some huge props for coming on strong the last half of their season. They continued playing with heart and determination in a District and Regional tournament where they were often reminded that they were the "only" team in the tournament with a losing record! Congrats and thank you to Coach Spritzky. She treats her girls with respect, expects them to give 110% ( and reminds them when they aren't doing so!) and never lets the teams "record" get in the way of their goals. From the beginning of the season to the end....the team learned a lot of valuable information about the game and themselves, and had a good time doing it! That is HUGE!! Anxious to see what next year brings!!!!!
