Congratulations to the Lady Colonels. Way to play together as a team. Dixie's defense shut downs Ludlows scorers! Kassi Wofford just could not get a shot off with Dixies #11 in her face. Awesome game for senior Katie Mayes!!! Good luck in the 9th!!!!!!

Well first of all, I just want to congratulate Dixie on winning the District Championship! Secondly this game sounds like the exact opposite of last game when Ludlow won. Ludlow held Dixie's leading scorer to zero points in the first meeting and Ludlow won by double digits. And now this game, Dixie holds Ludlow to by far the lowest point total they had all year. All 4 teams in the district this year were very even, and it was just pretty much a toss up between all of them on who would win. And Dixie was able to be the team to come out of it, so once again congrats to them, and good luck to both them and the Ludlow Panthers in the regional tournament...

Dixie should be congratulated but neither of these teams will make it past the first round of the regional. Ludlow will have to most likely play Boone, Notre Dame, or NCC. And Dixie, being the winner of the district, won't have it much easier, by most likely playing the district runner-ups - Conner, Highlands, or Holmes. But they should be proud of winning the district.

I would have to disagree with you on this one. The way Dixie has been playing of late, I think they match up well with Highlands and Holmes. I think they can beat either team. However, their hands would be full with Conner, that is, if Boone doesn't get beat by Conner.
