I'm going to say that Letcher Central will be in the mix. I mean lets be honest, the region will be played on there home floor.

They got to get by KCC to get there. But if they do would not want to draw them.

I think that Hazard gained some very valuable experience in the A State Tournament and will pull it out and win the 14th.

Rumor has it that high technology has finally reached the mountains in the 14th Reg. basketball officials association . According to one official who will remain nameless a veteran 14th region basketball refree was seen answering his cell phone recently while on the floor officiating an actual game . Reports are floating across the region from his fellow officials that he may have been consulting with one of his astute supervisors on how to handle a certain situation . My response , they say if you live long enough you'll see it all folks . Sure wish i could have witnessed that. - Ira Combs

JBS is not the only team that Hazard would have to beat. Any given night anyone can beat anyone.

your right booger12 there is maybe 6 to 8 teams that could win the 14th but i think Hazard will take the crown and be back in Lexington i just said that June Buchanan would not win it they have lived with the almost win game with Mason co and i think ever one wants them out so they dont have to hear about that games anymore ever one has had a almost won game this year.

Knott vs LCC = Knott

 

JBS/Knott in finals and both go to region!

I think Knott will get them this time, they were up 11 pts with 5 minutes to go the last time at JBS and started holding the ball, if they would of keep rolling they would of beat them by 25+

Leslie/Hazard -Hazard has not been playing well but will take this one

Perry/Buckhorn - Will be best game in the region, but I think PCC at home will be the difference in this one.

 

Hazard/Perry go to region and PCC will take care of Hazard in the finals at home.

Breathitt/Jackson City - Breathitt will beat them double digits at wolfe

Wolfe/Riverside -wolfe convincingly

 

Breathitt/Wolfe go to region, Breathitt as the winners in this one.

 

56th

Lee/Owsley - even though at Owsley, Lee wins in a close one

Powell/Estill - If it were at Estill I might say them, but since it's on a neutral court, I will have to go with the Pirates in a tight one.

 

Powell/Lee advance to regional play and Powell will be victorious in the finals over a Lee county team that doesn't play well away from home.

 

Possible Match ups when the draw comes out:

winners:Knott,PCC,Breathitt,Powell

losers:JBS,Hazard,Wolfe,Lee

 

Not really an easy game except for probably Wolfe county. I sure wouldn't want to draw any of the other 7.

I would say that you are about right.

The most talented team dont always win region. Its whoever is playing the best. So im going to say PCC will win the region. They have won 10 of 11 games going into tomorrow nights game vs Jackson City. In this streak they have road wins over JBS and Hazard. Not to mention they have the best coach in the mountains.

Hey buzzer beater they did beat hazard but then hazard blew them out in the All A when it really counted and they had to have a great game from stepp to beat breathitt at JBS which if it was at any other place the bobcat's would have won and then they beat buckhorn in OT and from what i understand there was a couple a bad call's at the end of that game that went in JBS way so really if jbs makes it out of the dist. it will be a miracle. Your right, they did, but JBS had Hazard down by 18 in the 4th, and started letting up, and the way Hazard has been playing, they will be lucky to make it out of district, luckily they drew the worst team in the district, which still could give them a game and maybe even beat them, if they drew Perry or Buckhorn, IMO Hazard would be beat, and Leslie could beat them if Hazard keeps on playing like this, Hazard beat Cordia by 11, JBS beat them by 25 plus, JBS will make it out of district, and Buckhorn isnt a bad team? they could give Hazard or any other team in the region trouble, any team, Buckhorns 16-9, its not like they are below the region, with a below .500 record, they are good, JBS IMO is the best team in the region, they did beat Breathitt, and Knott had them down by close to 15, and they came back. They will make it out of district, all they have to do is beat Cordia or Jenkins, teams they have beat by 20 points, on there home floors.
