I think PT came off fall break like a lot of teams seemed to this last game and maybe took a little bit to shake off some rust from the week off. A little less polished than we normally see. Even with that and some uncharacteristic turnovers, they still were able to get the running clock on Warren East one possession into the 2nd half.

Qb Xavier Isable was 14/17 for 259 yds with 5 touchdowns and 1 interception, which was his first of the season. He now has 28td's to just the one interception. Avery Thompson had 7 receptions for 118 yds and 2 td's and Chance McPike had 5 catches for 132 yds and 3 td's. We've been saying it all season, those two are going to be a tough ask for any defense to stop.

Calloway on offense seems to have it wherever they need it. They can run and pass both pretty well. Qb Matthew Briedwell has 1543 yds with 20 td's and 6 interceptions on the season and he targets Jackson Wyatt and Hunter Haugh quite a bit, both having big years and Haugh averaging over 22 yards a catch.

As a team, Calloway also rushes for an impressive 198.0 yards a game and are led by Brayden Turner who goes for 107.3 yards a game. They average 6.8 yards a carry as a team.

Since the 2000 season, Tilghman and Calloway have played 15 times, PT is 15-0 in those games. The last time Calloway sent PT back with a loss was in October of 1999.

Calloway does have the offensive capability to move the ball and maybe score a few points, but this Tilghman defense that has only given up 7 combined points the last 3 games has been playing really well and swarming to the ball.

I don't think this is a question of can Calloway win the game, I don't think many people will think that, but how well can they play in it and can they make some big plays and do their thing at times.

As a side note, when I played, I never thought we were going to lose a game, Ever! I knew some of our teams had their work cut out and on occasion we were big underdogs, but I always had it in the back of my mind that we were somehow going to play well and pull off the upset. So there's that. I always had a scenario in my where we could do it.

A running clock at some point. The top two spots in 4A RPI is coming down to the wire.

Bump.

I think Coach Lewis is doing a pretty good job there with the Lakers. I remember the year before he got there they were 0-10 and things weren’t looking good. They were 6-5 last year and look to have another winning season.

He was an assistant at PT before that I think. Not sure how long he was with the Tornado.

2 Years with PT prior to taking Calloway job. Was on the staff for the 24 State title team. Has done a fine job at Calloway.
