One of our seniors (Bayless - 215) had 3 wins in the consolation bracket. This was pretty good, but not good enough to place.

 

We had a junior (Patrick - 112) and a sophomore (Rigsby - 135) who had 1 win each in the consolation bracket.

 

Another of our seniors and a sophomore got to wrestle but did not advance. We also had 4 other young wrestlers who were there as alternates. This gives our team something to build on (we only lose 2 to graduation). I think wrestling is on the rise in Ashland. Hopefully these young wrestlers will continue to develop and improve - and now that they've been to the "big dance" they should be hungry for more.
