Instant karma for South Oldham. They have fourth and inches at their 18 yard line and decide to punt when they have nothing to lose.. The punt goes over the punter’s head and Scott County set up inside the one yard line.

Way walks in untouched. 28-0 with under a minute ago in the first quarter.

Nothing against the players for South Oldham there. No reason for their coaching staff to punt there shows what they believe their players are/aren’t capable of.

Adrian miles came in at QB and gave the offense a spark. Play action diced the cardinals zone.

28-6 8 to go in the half.

Emongo scores on a 55 yard sweep almost untouched.

35-6 Cards 7:08 left in the half.

35-12 coverage bust leads to first play touchdown for South Oldham.

2 point play was stuffed.

Gotta be better.

The scores mean the ones get to play longer for Scott County.

Nick Ranson having a rough night in terms of blocking and it gets worse. If he touches his man on the 4th down it’s an easy conversion, but he whiffs his block leading to a sack on the PA rollout.

South Oldham takes over at midfield.

Asher Brewer gets it right back with a nice INT.

Emongo 10 yard carry for 6.

42-12 with 30 seconds left in the half.

Halftime

Cards lead

55-18 Cards after the Way long touchdown.

Cards up 37 late in Q3.

55-18 final.

Per Kal Oakes (Gtown News Graphic)

Timmy Emongo 10 rush, 162 yds, 3 TD; 1 rec, 17 yds

Skyler Way 13 rush, 133 yds, 3 TD

Charlie Ellison 7/8, 105 yds, 2 TD

Carson Mullins 4 rec, 34 yds, TD

Red Owens 2 rec, 54 yds, TD

Asher Brewer 2 INT, 13 tackles (10 solo)

While it wasn’t the sharpest the Cards have looked, I do think the extra playing time for the starters was a good thing.

The next two weeks are going to be awesome games. (vs Woodford and then vs Highlands)
