Warren East heads to Franklin-Simpson Friday night with a 4-1 record and plenty of momentum after three straight wins. The Raiders are coming off a 40-14 victory over Calloway County, while the Wildcats enter at 2-3 following a 70-28 loss to a top tier Paducah Tilghman.

This is a familiar matchup. Franklin-Simpson holds an 18-7 advantage in the last 25 meetings, with the Wildcats dominating much of the 2010s. More recently, however, the series has been back and forth, including Warren East's 50-27 win in 2024 and Franklin-Simpson's 42-36 victory last season.

Franklin-Simpson's Wing-T brings a bigger-looking offensive line and a physical downhill running game that will test Warren East's ability to control the line of scrimmage.

Senior linebacker Sam Tunks and junior Cane Roberts and the Raider front eight will be key in trying to create negative plays and keep the Wildcats from consistently moving the chains.

Can Warren East Keep Rolling?

The Raiders have beaten Ohio County, Central Hardin, Warren Central and Calloway County since their narrow loss to Greenwood.

Now they get another opportunity to show how far this team has come.

Franklin-Simpson has already proven it can score points, with wins over Warren Central and Russellville. Warren East will need another disciplined defensive performance while finding enough offense to take advantage of its opportunities.

The history favors Franklin-Simpson. The momentum belongs to Warren East.
