The current dry conditions are probably causing it.

With as wet of a summer we've had....no.

Your trees should still be green and happy. It has gotten really hot and we are approaching fall though.

But... where I was going with that... you might have an Emerald Ash Borer infestation. Are the leaves quickly turning yellow and falling from the trees?

If so, you probably have dying Ash trees. By this point, it's too late to treat them. They are dying. It's best to cut your loses and have them removed and burnt onsite.

Look for signs of Ash Borer. Woodpeckers...holes in the bark...sucker branches. Those are tell tale signs of Ash Borer
