The 41st Annual Community Trust Bank Pike County Bowl welcomes in the Prestonsburg Blackcats to take on the Pikeville Panthers. The Panthers are coming off a beat down loss to Christian Academy of Louisville 41-0. The Prestonsburg Blackcats are coming off a 37-6 win over county foe Betsy Layne. The Panthers and the Blackcats haven’t played each other since 2016. Does the Blackcats have a shot?

Should be a dandy Saturday night game.

Where is the Pikeville faithful at? Thread is a little quiet.

Prestonsburg is gaining traction as a program and Pikeville is licking its wounds after last week.... but the Panthers don't have to "punch up" this week. It's the Blackcats that are punching up this time.

Pikeville by 4-5 scores.

These two go back a ways. The rivalry began in 1925. With a few exceptions, they met every year from 1927-2016. There were sporadic breaks of 2-3 years during that time, but not many. The ten year break that's ending this week is by far the longest in the history of the rivalry.

Pikeville leads 43-32-9 all-time.
