FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MARCH 3, 2026

The 2026 Indoor Track & Field State Championships presented by UK HealthCare concluded day one of the 3-day event with Class 1A. Twenty individual running event state champions, ten boys and ten girls, were crowned Tuesday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville.  Additionally, five field competitions had championships awarded.

Lexington Christian girls won the team title while Beechwood captured the boys’ championships.

Here are the complete results for every Class 1A event on Tuesday.

Big Day for Beechwood boys Track and Field Team. They set new indoor state records in the 4X800 relay, the 4X200 relay team broke their own state record, led by Tyler Fryman, Nathan Pabst, Brody Aylor, and Hudson Edwards. Tyler Fryman broke his own record in the 200 meters, and just missed setting a new record in the 400.

Fryman brought home 3 Titles and a Runner Up in the 4X400 relay. He is now about a 6 time state champion in Track, as well as a State Champion Football Player and super accomplished baseball player.

The 2026 Indoor Track & Field State Championships presented by UK HealthCare concluded day two of the 3-day event with Class 3A. Twenty individual running event state champions, ten boys and ten girls, were crowned on Wednesday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville.  Additionally, five field competitions had championships awarded.

Oldham County's girls won the team title while Louisville Male captured the boys’ team championship.

Twenty individual running event state champions, ten boys and ten girls, were crowned at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.  Additionally, five field competitions had championships awarded for boys and girls.

Lexington Catholic girls won the team title while Covington Catholic captured the boys’ team championship.
