Somerset 58 Rockcastle County 49 (47th District Championship)

Featured Replies

Somerset is crowned district champs as they continue to rack up accomplishments this season.

Somerset will be one of the two favorites to win the regional (DCA being the other). Though certainly if this week has shown us anything, this region is wildly unpredictable.

The Rockets are going to be a really hard out in the first round. It is absolutely possible that these two teams could meet again in the regional title game.

Rockcastle came out fired up and got off to a great start. Somerset did a good job running their offense and started knocking down shots.  The Rockets led 15-7 at one point, then Somerset outscored them 51-34 the rest of the way.

Brock Stevens stepped up huge for the Jumpers.  He is little in stature, but has a huge heart and smooth shooting stroke from 3!

It seemed like he hit one every time we needed one.  Grundy buried a huge corner 3 as well.  I thought Wooldridge and Cupp both have the team good minutes off of the bench. It really was a great team effort.
