Another week where Mother Nature robbed us of a ton of games, but we adjust and move forward.  It does appear, at least as of this morning, that we won't get a #1 (SK) vs #2 (Cooper) game this year, which is a real shame.  With that said, we do get a #2 (Cooper) vs #3 (Campbell Co.) game this week, on Tuesday, at Cooper, which should be very, very good.

Big Congrats to Holy Cross for winning ANOTHER "All A Classic State Championship".  Super impressive, and to have to knock of Owensboro Catholic on their home floor to do it made it even that much sweeter.  With no game in the State Tournament closer than 12 points, and no seniors on their roster, it is hard to imagine the Indians won't be a huge factor again next year!!  Coach Ted Arlinghaus is building an All A Dynasty in Latonia.  Heads-up, they play Cooper on February 11th, for an early look at what we might see a few weeks later at NKU.

I'm adding a trend number to the overall record and record last week below, since we are nearing the end, it is good to see who is playing well when it matters most.

1.  Simon Kenton (21-1 / 1-0 last week):  Winners of 10 straight.  at #7 Bishop Brossart (2/3), and vs Spire Institute (OH) at Campbell County.

2.  Cooper (15-4 / 0-1):  9-1 in their last 10.  vs #3 Campbell Co. (2/3), and vs Taylor County at Mercy Academy.

3.  Campbell Co. (15-3 / 2-0):  13-1 in their last 14.  at #2 Cooper (2/3), vs Boyd Co., and either Purcell Marian (OH) or #5 Notre Dame at Campbell Co. (both games currently listed at nearly the same tip-time).

4.  Holy Cross (19-2 / 3-0):  Winners of 12 straight!  at Scott, and vs Huntington Prep (WV) at Campbell County.

5.  Notre Dame (13-5 / 1-0):  6-4 in last 10.  at Scott County, vs #6 Ryle at CovCath, and at #3 Campbell Co. (maybe, I guess).

6.  Ryle (13-7 / 1-0):  8-2 in last 10.  at #8 Highlands, vs #5 Notre Dame at CovCath, and vs #9 NewCath.

7.  Bishop Brossart (21-2 / 1-1):  8-2 in last 10.  vs #1 Simon Kenton and at #10 St. Henry.

8.  Highlands (12-7 / 1-2):  5-5 in last 10.  vs #6 Ryle, at Lloyd, and vs. South Laurel at Campbell County.

9.  NewCath (14-6 / 1-0):  10-2 in last 12.  at Scott, vs Boone County, at Bellevue, and at #6 Ryle.

10. St. Henry (12-6 / 1-1):  6-4 in last 10.  at Scott, vs Villa Madonna, and vs. #7 Bishop Brossart.

==================================

*  Walton Verona (10-9 / 0-1):  Losers of 6 straight.  vs Woodford Co., vs Grant Co., vs Ludlow, and at Nelson Co.

*  Scott (7-13 / 0-1):  3-7 in last 10.  vs #9 NewCath, vs #10 St. Henry, and vs #4 Holy Cross.

*  Dixie (6-13 / 1-1):  4-6 in last 10.  vs St. Ursula (OH), at Conner, and vs Franklin Co. at Campbell Co.

*  Grant Co. (11-8 / 1-0):  Winners of 5 straight.  at Pendleton Co., at Walton-Verona, and vs South Oldham.

*  Lloyd (10-10 / 1-1):  5-5 in last 10.  vs Beechwood and vs #8 Highlands.

*  Conner (3-16 / 1-1):  2-8 in last 10.  vs Dixie and vs Scott County.

Cooper Athletics has SK at Cooper girls game this Thursday at 7:30.

Interesting, the scoreboard doesn't have it listed, hope that is correct!

Campbell is playing both games that day. Not sure about the times.

Thanks.  I'm assuming it won't be 6:00 and 7:30 as it is currently scheduled.

Heck of a week for them if the Cooper game gets played tonight.

Ryle at Highlands tonight looks to be the Girls' game of the evening.

Honorable Mention to the rivalry game down south, as Grant County visits Walton-Verona.  That should be, if nothing else, competitive and a little spicy.

Looks like they cleaned it up, Camels vs Purcell that day, and vs Notre Dame on the 18th.  That makes WAY more sense.

Looks like Holy Cross will not play Huntington Prep at Campbell County today, their opponent has switched to TBA.

Apparently Huntington Prep had travel issues this morning due to conditions near them, so it wasn't safe to continue.

No word yet on who, if anyone, Holy Cross will play at 1:00.
