Per the News-Enterprise, Warren Central head football coach Jeremy Harness has been named head coach of the John Hardin Bulldogs.

Harness is a 2012 John Hardin graduate, and played college football at Murray State before continuing on to earn a master’s degree in athletic administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State. He was an assistant coach at the college level Gardner-Webb and at Mary Hardin-Baylor prior to arriving as head coach at Warren Central prior to the 2024 season.

The Dragons were 1-10 in the season prior to Harness' arrival, and they finished 3-8 in 2024, and 3-7 in 2025 under Harness.

Congratulations and good luck to Coach Harness and the Bulldogs!

John Hardin was 13-1 in 2011 and lost to Bowling Green in the semifinals, 62-20. Jeremy had 1562 yards rushing and 22 TDs his senior year on 127 rushing attempts for an average of 120 yards per game. He also had 447 receiving yards on 29 pass attempts. In addition he had 1526 yards rushing during his junior season. He comes from a winning pedigree and knows what it takes to win and be a successful program. Hoping for the best for Jeremy and the John Hardin football program going forward. 

And just think, they got all of those wins and all of those yards running your favorite offense: the wing-t.

I am very happy for Jeremy. I remember watching him play in high school. He was special. I am even more happy that JH got a former player. He will have some good pieces returning and some fantastic coaches to work with. Go Dawgs!!

If you managed to make it out of The Bruin Den and attend 8 or more JH games each season during their golden years you would know that they could pass and were way more balanced on offense than any CH ever dreamed of being. By the way, I missed seeing you at Kroger Field Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th for championship weekend. Didn't see you at Boyle County for the quarter and semifinals either, come to think of it?

I agree with you 100% about balance.  I think a competent passing game is a must.  I just don't agree with you that a competent passing game has to be from a spread offense.  I have seen plenty of wing-t teams with a quality, complimentary passing game.  See John Hardin from the Mark Brown era.
