The Cincinnati Slingers, new members of the International Arena League, announce former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Adrian Ross as General Manager. The Slingers will begin play April 2026 at Heritage Bank Center.

Isn't this basically what the Kentucky Barrels are?   Is it really wise to oversaturate a market with gimmicky garbage?   I lived through the Cincinnati Rockers.  As long as the Bengals are in town, whether they are headed to the playoffs or riding out a 4-13 season, it is still miles better than arena league wannabes.  One arena league team will struggle bad enough, 2 are doomed to utter failure.

I remember going to a couple of Rockers games, good times. 

I thought the same thing, two new teams in the same market, no way that works.

I would be shocked if this league makes a penny when it is all said and done.

The Slingers beat the Arizona Juggernauts (33-32) on a last second touchdown and everyone that was there had an absolute blast! And talk about family friendly, after the game all fans came onto the field to get pics with players! Next home game is Saturday, May 9th at Heritage Bank Center!
