Russell County at Corbin Predictions/Updates (11/6)

The 7-3 Redhounds of Corbin host 3-7 Russell County. Corbin went 3-1 in the class and undefeated in their district. Russell County does not have a 4A win and hasn't won since September 12th. They got real close in their regular season finale. In fact, they scored the most points in a game out of the entire season in ther 42-41 loss to Monroe County.

This obviously one of those class first round mismatches that trends heavily in the favor of the home team. It shouldn't be eye-poppingly terrible, like 76-0, but I do expect a pretty clear and significant victory by the Redhounds.

Jr. Quarterback Tanner Stringer leads Russell County in both passing yards and rushing yards. Mason Salmons has also been a dual threat QB for Corbin, though not to the same extent on the ground as Cole Stevens as led the way there. Salmons has been incredibly proficient in limiting turnovers. Also look for Corbin to clearly dominate in the trenches here on both sides of the ball, especially when they have a force like Malachi Brown.

I like the balance Corbin has developed on offense. They were super run heavy early on, but something clicked around Week 4. With the exception of Frederick Douglass, no one has been able to slow them down offensively since.
