Henry county makes the trip to Erlanger Lloyd this Thursday to try to upset the Juggs. Will Henry County have what it takes? I think not! Juggs win by at least 21. What are your thoughts?

Here's what the numbers say about this matchup. (with no Carroll County game stats submitted by Henry County)

Henry County averages around 230 rushing yards a game. With a lead back in #16 Ray. A running QB #8 Ward and a couple others that chip in. That is impressive.

Henry averages 35 passing yards a game. That's abysmal.

Henry allows around 90 yards a game on the ground. Pretty decent.

Henry allows around 120 yards through the air. Not too bad.

The numbers say Henry isn't a bad team but they cannot throw the ball what so ever.

This game plays right into the Juggs hands.

Lloyd averages about 180 yards a game through the air and on the ground. Well balanced.

Lloyd allows on average 63 rushing yards a game. That's very impressive.

Lloyd allows on average 123 passing yards a game. Not bad but that number could easily be a lot lower.

Here is what I say.

If Evans plays 4 qtrs I think Lloyd goes for close to 400 yards in this game but Henry is going to make them earn it. Henry doesn't have a terrible defense. Evans high school games are counting down and I hope scenarios play out where he is on the field for majority of those games and not rooting from the sideline because the game is out of hand by half time.

If Henry runs for over 200 yards this will seem like a game just due to ball control. But that's not happening on this group that Lloyd has playing in the box. I do think Henry can push Lloyd some and get around 125-150 rushing yards based off the amount of rushes over 4 qtrs with a couple TD's. They have multiple different ways they like to get their ball carriers the ball and they will be Lloyd's hardest test so far on the ground.

Hennry is not going to abandon the run game what so ever. It will be good for Lloyd to see if they can keep Henry under 125 yards and O TD's. That should be a goal. Besides that, Lloyd's not getting much out of this game.

Tomlinson, Conrad, D. Peterson.. can they put a 0 up on the board? I don't want to doubt them but the numbers say they won't.

Lloyd's defense has goose egged no one this year.  I would like to see if Lloyd really have what it takes to hold an opponent to 0. I don't think they got it in them. Henry's not scoring through the air...because they don't even attempt to. But if they are going to, Thursday night might be the night.

I hope Lloyd finds different ways to get better over the next 3 weeks. And most of it is just mental tasks that can have them in prime form for when it's do or die time in November. Some tasks are football related and some tasks are just personal that can better the team. That goes for players, coaches, and all humans in general. Everyone can always get better...but how? What extra steps are they going to do before hand to prepare themselves mentally for when it matters most? Mental toughness is just as important as physical and I haven't doubted them physically.

Oh yeah speaking of humans. Is Barger actually human? He has come down to earth a little bit the last few weeks with some very untimely and uncharacteristic drops and under average numbers.

Nope, Barger is in fact actually an alien from out of this world but even he can also get better. He will be fine. He is the opponents Public Enemy #1 and that's a testament to his body of work.

If Lloyd plays the next few weeks right they are looking at huge advantages in the playoffs in the RPI world that could be a big difference between the last few years outcome and this years.

Lloyd 42-14.

There is a very good chance we could end up number two in the RPI. Also, don’t forget to stop by at the Tailgate tomorrow night and see dirty Mike and the boys. Oh and the mean Girl.

When you start getting home playoff games in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th round there is unimaginable benefits to that. I don't know if Paris...I mean Erlanger has the capacity for all that.

I could not agree more! The benefit for the team, the school and the community. It’s amazing just to walk around and hearing people talk about our football team. I know here lately, walking around with a Lloyd shirt on even people from different schools and areas will ask me about the team. You start getting two, three or maybe even four playoff games every year at home it does bring the community closer together. Erlanger/Elsmere needs and deserves that. GO JUGGS
