Mid season picks

Featured Replies

So here we are almost at mid season soon to be closing in on week five.

What teams impress you the most at this point and how far do you think they will go in the playoffs?

CAL.  3A school doing big boy things.

5-A is unbelievably wide open. I mean anyone of the top 10 can get into the championship game. Obviously, there is a lot of football left here, but let's look at this list.  Cooper, Pulaski, Scott Co. and Woodford Co. are definite favorites. I think Madisonville, Owensboro, Bowling Green, Atherton can win this thing as well as the top 4.

1. Cooper-
2. Pulaski County
3. Scott County
4. Woodford County
5. Madisonville-North Hopkins
6. Owensboro
7. Bowling Green
8. Atherton
9. Collins
10. South Laurel

1A- Pikeville and Raceland seem to have a slight gap on the others. KCD, Hazard, Sayre, and Campbellsville are true threats.

2A- Beechwood is the highlighted favorite but the next four teams are very good. Somerset is starting to position themselves as a fifth threat.

3A- This class has been surprisingly deep and strong but CAL may be the best team outside of Class 6A. LexCath and Bell are both very stout then I think there is a gap but there are more good teams in the Top 10 than recent years.

4A- Pretty open at the top. Your top four teams are all very equal and all have flaws. Think there is gap after them with a bunch of threats.

5A- Extremely wide open. I honestly could see any of 8-9 teams winning the title. It's funny because of CAL was in this class I would probably take them by 2+ TD's over anyone on any field.

6A- Pretty good year for 6A football. It runs through Trinity and X. South Warren definitely is stronger than they have been.
