2025 Mr. Football Watchlist (9/9)

Featured Replies

Week 3

Marlon Harbin III (ATH, Saint Xavier)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
?️ | The “Harbin-ger” of success for the X-Men made a mad dash for the endzone… then another… then another. Male served as unwitting spectators to the dazzling display of vision, jump cuts, and speed. He burned the Dawgs for 150 rushing yards and three touchdowns, took a kick back 92 yards for a fourth score, and picked off his first pass of the season for good measure. The kick-off return quickly extinguished any fire Male was attempting to build. All together, he compiled 270 all-purpose yards in the best individual performance the watchlist has seen yet this year.

Season so far: 26 carries for 227 yards and 6 touchdowns | 9 receptions for 137 yards and 1 touchdown | 1 kick return touchdown | 1 interception

Jacob Savage (RB/LB, Ryle)
⭐⭐⭐⭐
?️ | “I am no man, I am dynamite” - Friedrich Nietzsche

Words to live by if you're a savage at heart. He squared up and thrusted into the sternum of Cam O'Hara, who's still trying to get his own teeth into this race. The open field collision of two of the state's marquee names left O’Hara temporarily without a head, or so the visual would suggest. It was one of Savage's season high 14 stops, but already the clubhouse leader for tackle of the year. And he's as good at running past people as he is running through them. He bolted 69 yards to the endzone, stretching his legs to outrun the pursuit of several Cooper defenders, including Ryker Campbell. It was negated by a holding call, but was too impressive to omit completely. As great as his individual effort was, the Raiders were knocked down a peg in the battle of Union. It wasn't for lack of effort or impact on the part of Savage, who went full Nietzsche ?.

Season so far: 40 carries for 268 yards and 5 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown | 26 tackles | 4 TFL

Rio Litmer (QB, Highlands)
⭐⭐⭐⭐
?️ | This week's ‘William Tell Award’ ? for marksmanship goes to the Birds’ signal caller, who shredded Campbell County’s defense for 312 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 24/29 attempts. He added 52 yards and another score with his legs to round out one of his best games in a Highlands uniform.
Season so far: 54/73 (74%) for 625 yards and 4 touchdowns with 1 interception | 1 rushing touchdown

Cash Harney (QB, Covington Catholic)
⭐⭐⭐
?️ | He was the epitome of balance ⚖️, accounting for 312 yards of offense (154 passing/158 rushing) and three touchdowns against Simon Kenton. Turnovers continue to be the biggest chink in his armor, as he was picked off for the fourth time in three games and has more picks than touchdown passes in the season's early stage.
Season so far: 35/52 (67%) for 512 yards and 3 touchdowns with 4 interceptions | 373 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns

Wyatt Robbins (QB, Murray)
⭐⭐⭐
?️ | Everything was fine tuned over the off-season… the hair trigger release, the smooth follow through, decision making… He's been locked in through the first three weeks, most recently against Graves County, whom Robbins totaled 304 yards of offense and three touchdown passes against.

Season so far: 49/73 (67%) for 744 yards and 8 touchdowns with 1 interception | 223 rushing yards

Markezz Hightower (RB, Madisonville-North Hopkins)
⭐⭐⭐
?️ | Due to the one sided nature of the county clash with Hopkins Central, he played a more limited role compared to the first two weeks, resulting in Markezz falling well below his season average at just 81 yards. Though he did find enough room in that acreage to score three touchdowns.
Season so far: 37 carries (not updated) for 508 yards and 10 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown

Luke Ballard (RB, Great Crossing, 5’11”/210)
⭐⭐⭐
?️ | He’s carrying the Warhawks, offensively, with every opponent they've faced knowing what's coming. Despite their best efforts, Ballard has been a singular force each week. His latest act of defiance resulted in 166 yards and two touchdowns against Woodford County.
Season so far: 73 carries for 507 yards and 5 touchdowns

Gerian Traynor (RB, Manual)
⭐⭐⭐
?️ | Bottled up by Frederick Douglass most of the game, he found a seam and exploded through the Broncos secondary for a 42 yard touchdown to put Manual ahead for good. It was his second score of the night and served as the centerpiece of his 147 yard output.
Season so far: 55 carries for 395 yards and 5 touchdowns | 1 receiving touchdown

Cavalli Pittman (RB, John Hardin)
⭐
?️ | The official numbers aren't in, but Pittman was stifled by Bardstown in defeat, a far cry from last year's effort against the Tigers. These are the games where he needs to impress, not regress.
Season so far: Updated statistics not yet available

Trending Up ?
Ryker Campbell (WR/DB, Cooper)
?️ | With the possibility of 0-3 staring them in the face, Cooper needed a spark. Enter Campbell, the Jags’ all-state defender, who picked off Nathan Verax and took it back 70 yards the other way. If he and O'Hara can put it together offensively, Campbell could hang around the Mr. ? orbit for a while.

Season so far: 7 receptions for 135 yards and 1 touchdown | 2 interceptions, including a pick-six | 18 tackles

Cam Wade (WR/DB, Paducah Tilghman)
?️ | If you squint, it's like watching Martels Carter out there, except Carter never roasted Mayfield quite like this. Wade looked every bit the prospect he's billed as, catching 8 balls for 245 yards and five touchdowns.

Season so far: 19 receptions for 382 yards and 7 touchdowns | 1 interception, which was returned for a pick-six

Brady Wasik (ATH, Lexington Catholic)
?️ | The most valuable player on the field vs. Boyle County. Wasik - more athlete than true quarterback - threw for 80 yards and a score, ran for 83, forced two fumbles, and recorded 8 tackles and 1.5 sacks, including a de-cleating of Baylor Murphy. LexCath has beaten Boyle twice in the last fourteen meetings. A Wasik was front and center both times.

Season so far: 19/31 (61%) for 184 yards and 1 touchdown | 47 rushes for 247 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns | 23 tackles | 7 TFL | 1.5 sacks

Simon Kenton Grayson Harriss WR/DB/P 17 catches 370 yards 3 tds and 2 interceptions.

Cooper RB Keagan Maher 65 carries 392 yards 3 tds.

Highlands QB Rio Litmer getting no love at all 625 passing yards 4 tds and 94 yards rushing 1 td along with 3 wins.

Not sure how I missed that one.

Love Cash Harney’s talent.  Are those 4 interceptions judgement errors?  Endgame desperation?  Receiver problems?  All of the above.  He may not be a D1 QB, but he is a D1 athlete.

1st pick vs Ryle was on 100% the receiver being passive. 2nd pick was Ryle was a little unlucky off a tip trying to make something happen. Here’s both: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/17765657/68a937033825f03e156d6ca2

The SK pick was pretty bad, just staring down a pretty covered TE.

Elder pick he sailed a difficult throw.

Big night on deck for several candidates.

- Savage faces what may be his stiffest challenge of the regular season against mighty CAL.

- The collective eye of a talented but unproven Atherton defense will be fixed on Traynor.

- Litmer and the Birds trek to 'Title Town' for a battle with Boyle.

- Ballard and up-and-comer Wasik go head to head in Lexington.
