Taylor County makes the long drive to NKY to face off against the Wildcats of Newport.

Definitely a strange matchup-not sure if there was last minute issue that led to this game being scheduled.

Taylor’s first two games were against unranked 2a teams and the Cardinals had their hands full each time (only led Metcalfe 6-0 at half)

With a much more favorable district slate and a soft non district schedule, Taylor could easily be 9-1 or 8-2 on the season but that will be a bit deceiving as they are not a strong 4a team this year.

It was a last minute schedule change. Newport was originally going to play Walton Verona, but there was a schedule conflict and Taylor had an opening.
