Meade County comes into this matchup after being soundly defeated last week by North Hardin, 35-7. After reporting on this game last week and talking to several player parents, this version of the GreenWave has got to improve along the defensive and offensive lines. It seemed like, North Hardin QB Kirkland had all night to throw the ball and on offense, the Meade County QB seemed like he was under pressure as soon as he received the snap.

Although RB Rainey is a good option out of the backfield, he has been their only option at generating offensive yards.

If Durelle Loggins does not win an appeal thru the KHSAA to play this season, Meade County will continue to be one-dimensional on offense, with no passing game to keep the defense honest.

District 2 favorite, Taylor County comes into this game with a 2-0 record after beating Green County last week 22-6. QB Rex Parkey was 12-19 for 138 yards on the night. His leading receiver was Tucker Russell (53 yards). The Cardinals leading rusher was Braxton Abren, who rushed for 157 yards.

This will be another challenging game for Meade County. Taylor County is very balanced and is physical up front on both sides of the ball.

My prediction: Taylor County 35 Meade County 21

I wish there was some sort of “tune in live” options on this site where guys like you could get on a grease board with people that actually know football - not as a “last guy with the marker wins”, but to show how much you (and, others like you) really and truly ‘don’t know what you don’t know’.

However, when you surround yourself with others that are in the same boat as you? It’s easy to get a false sense of security thinking you know more than what you actually know.

”After talking with several player parents” ???

Things have gone from bad to worse in GreenWave country. Durelle Loggins, NH QB transfer still has not been cleared by the KHSAA and their starting QB, sophomore Ethan Jolly was injured during the North Hardin game last week and will not be available for this game. I am told they will be starting a freshman vs Taylor County.

Score at the half (rain delay)

Taylor County 20

 Meade County 0
