Week 1
As is the case every season, the watchlist will highlight the performances that were noteworthy in some form or fashion, factoring in the magnitude of the game, statistics, high impact plays, and team success before being graded on a scale of one star (inadequate) to five stars (exemplary).
Not every player from the pre-season edition will make the cut every week and new names will emerge as the season progresses. Players will come and go, so just because a player disappears for a week or two, doesn't mean they won't be back.

Gerian Traynor (RB, Manual)
🗞️ | Ran to daylight against a program with a long held reputation for shrouding ball carriers in darkness, accounting for 202 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns against Central. No one took a bigger step forward last week.

Baylor Murphy (QB, Boyle County)
🗞️ | Turned the matinee of the Rafferty's Bowl into a performance more fitting of a primetime slot. Murphy torched Bullitt East for 307 yards and three scores on 15/21 attempts. He may be in this for the long haul.

Jacob Savage (RB/LB, Ryle)
🗞️ | Pulled his weight in a three headed rushing attack against CovCath, running for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns to keep Ryle in front of the Colonels. Per usual, he was a central figure in the Raiders’ defensive effort, recording seven tackles, including two for loss.

Marlon Harbin III (ATH, Saint Xavier)
🗞️ | Got the better of an exchange with Evan Hampton, catching four passes for 94 yards and a score, plus a rushing touchdown in X’s domination of Owensboro. Took a screen for six after slipping a couple of tacklers and outrunning pursuit to the endzone.

Cash Harney (QB, Covington Catholic)
🗞️ | Victory eluded him in one of opening weekend's marquee contests, but his solo effort was more than enough to merit a favorable rating this week. It's hard to ignore 315 yards of total offense and all three CovCath touchdowns against Savage and Ryle.

Wyatt Robbins (QB, Murray)
🗞️ | Picked apart Apollo's defense with his arm and legs for almost 300 yards of total offense and four passing touchdowns. Robbins looks primed for a huge senior season conducting a ferocious Tigers offense.

Markezz Hightower (RB, Madisonville-North Hopkins)
🗞️ | Hampton's district mate is lying in the weeds as a sleeper pick to contend for top individual honors. His legs were a difference maker against Union County last year (176 yards), but he topped himself with 192 and three touchdowns against the Braves last week.

Cavalli Pittman (RB, John Hardin)
🗞️ | It was reported that he ran for 200+ against Hancock County, but nothing official has been catalogued. As the Hornets discovered, you can't keep a good Dawg down. But you can score more points than his team.

Keagan Maher (RB, Cooper)
🗞️ | O'Hara’s right hand man was a bright spot amidst an otherwise dreary night for the Jags, rushing for 181 yards and Cooper's only touchdown.

Cam O'Hara (QB, Cooper)
🗞️ | Had one of his worst nights in a Cooper uniform, connecting on 5/17 passes for 53 yards with zero touchdowns and one pick against highly regarded Anderson out of the Buckeye State. It marked the first time since 2022 that O'Hara failed to throw at least one touchdown pass. The yards and completion percentage were also career lows.

Evan Hampton (RB, Owensboro)
🗞️ | The future Commodore's momentum has been temporarily halted after being bottled up for 41 yards on 15 attempts and zero trips to the endzone by St. Xavier. The task doesn't get any easier this week, as a locked and loaded CAL defense comes to Rash.
