Who is the best golf coach in the state??

Featured Replies

I know Marty Donlon @ st. X has won national COTY awards but never has to hold a practice.

Who do you all think is the best coach. Not who necessaily has the most success, but gets the most out of who he or she has and is always classy to play with?

There are some really good ones out there, and a lot of bad ones.

If it is true that he never holds practice, she gives more weight to the argument that privates have a built in support system that favors them cause many of mine have never held a golf club in their hand before I get them. But that is a topic for another thread.

It should replace she in the first sentence.

I know a gentlemen, who is an excellent person, coach and does everything he can, to help his program....I wont' post his name but I know, he reads BGP.

A lot of good ones, who devote their time to making young men and women, better people as well as golfers...:thumb:

I appreciate your candor, but why not mention his name??

I for one think Mark Price @ Daviess Co. is awfully good. The coach @ Clark Co. (I forgot his name) is also a winner. In Jeff. Co.,Randy Crowdis @ DeSales is very good. Byron Hill @ Atherton is also a great coach, eventhough he usually has little to work with.

I don't know many of the girls coaches anymore but I know Peg Escola (sp?) @ Pres. is fantastic.

Because, the "best" of something is always subjective and varies, like opinions.

Some base "best" off wins/losses, teaching ability, communication and interacting with players, improving talent and many aspects.

Wes Martin is the coach at Clark Co.
