Is this job actually going to be posted by the district as open?

I would expect this one to get posted, but that is solely my opinion. I don't know if there is anyone on the current staff with any type of head coaching experience at the varsity level, and this is one of the top 10 girls jobs in the state right now. Should draw some high level applicants if they choose to go that route.

I would think almost every current girls coach in NKY will have an interest in trying for this, and good chance of some good coaches around the state. This should get some really good attention. 

To me personally a name to keep an eye on possibly is Aaron Stamm. He coached girls basketball for many years, at Ludlow and at Conner. While the girls coach at Conner, his last year there he had Conner ranked number 1 in the state at one point before getting upset in the region. He then left to go back to his alma mater at Ludlow, where he is now coaching the boys team. So I have no idea if he would be interested in going back to the girls side, and also leaving his alma mater. However, I do think he is one of the names in the area that could potentially be a good fit. 

Plus the one good thing is no matter who gets the job. Coach Holthaus is still there at Cooper, so it will be very easy to talk to Coach Holthaus about things he ran offensively and defensively, and strengths of each girl. So the transition has a chance to be smooth IMO, even if it is someone from a different school.
