Harlan COUNTY or Harlan HIGH?

County!

The Warriors are really breaking in the tires on the bus in Week 2 & Week3...that's a 336 mile round trip to Paintsville followed up by a 418 mile round trip to Harlan County.

I think this looks like a good schedule for Eminence though. They ended up with a 5-4 regular season last year, and this year they have to replace a lot of skills players on offense, including their QB and basically all of their rushers. They have their top receiver coming back in senior Everett Starks and they have a talented junior receiver in Josh Holland. Defensive tackle Matthew Roby is their top returning defender, with 53.5 solo tackles last year.

I got a little bit of a chuckle reading Roby's stat line for solo tackles. They have him listed with 31.5 solo tackles...I'm not exactly sure how a statistician awards a half tackle when it's supposed to be a solo tackle ?

Nice. That's a step up in class but should pay dividends in later district and playoff games with quality opponents.

Going to disappoint but I know nothing about the Warriors except they went 6-5 and lost 13 seniors from last year.  What I did want to share is that we passed through Eminence today and just had to check out their football field.  Spectacular turf field coupled with a new gymnasium across the street.  Sadly no pictures.  But, their field shocked me in this very small, rural Ky farm town.  Anybody got pics and perhaps share how these facilities were funded.  Go Warriors.
