Somerset has one of the hardest schedules of 12th Region teams remaining.

Another heart breaker for the Jumpers. This is a team that could do really good things this season when they play a whole game. somerset has had a lot of games that they should have won. They just haven't showed up the entire game. I was impressed with Hazard though they really never seemed to lose focus they kept playing. Hicks is a good player that can pull up and hit it from anywhere.

The Hicks kid must be an exceptional shooter. Every time I watch Sports Overtime he lights it up. What are his numbers for the year?

Lackluster defense and no rebounding= NO HEART!! Who in McBrayer arena did not recognize that Hicks was going to get the ball in those last 3 minutes but we didn't fight thru screens to get to him. Seemed like every rebound opportunity in thos last minutes that Hazard had 4 men in the paint and Somerset had Bourne.

The better team won last night and the Bulldogs will be a tough out in my opinion.

 

If you truely believe Somerset had no heart, you must not have watched the game!? Hazard was favored to win pretty easily... They out rebounded a much bigger and more athletic Hazard team for the game and forced more turnovers. Not to mention Bourne wasnt the only Jumper in the paint, Price was the leading rebounder for Somerset.

It might be best thing that could happen to somerset. They have a must win game against PC on Thursday, for the #1 seed in their district. With the 1st round loss they might avoid their All A hangover and be ready for Pulaski.

 

 

The Hicks kid is a super nice point guard, that took over this game. He made some excellent passes, ran the show, and hit some huge long range 3's. You could tell he was a competitor.
