This one featured a benches clearing brawl. It didn’t really have any impact on the outcome. At the time of the fight, the score was 70-46. I’m sure it will result in some suspensions for the next game.

Highlands is now 7-0 but doesn’t yet have a win over a quality opponent (basing that on opponents’ results to date). Boyle is the only team they’ve played with a winning record at 3-2. My question for the 9th region folks is how good is Highlands? Do they have a shot at winning the 9th this year?

This Highlands group is young and is made up of all juniors and 2 sophomores who get significant minutes (Lorenzen and Harris). They like to press and get up and down and shoot a lot of 3s. They got 2 guys in Vinny Listerman and Nathan Rickard who have varsity experience from last year (both starters).  The rest of the junior class along with the 2 sophomores listed, brought home a JV championship last year. This is a very talented group and they are winners. They have yet to play a good team, but the month of January will tell us a lot with CCH, Ryle, Newport, & Cooper.
