Final per Mark Maynard:

TOMCAT UPDATE: Lloyd Memorial defeated Ashland 61-58 in overtime in the consolation bracket of the King of the Bluegrass. It was the second night in a row to suffer an overtime loss and, for the second time in as many nights, it was Preston Hoskins with a 3-pointer to put it into the extra period for the Tomcats.

Ashland (3-4) had a 14-point lead but Lloyd Memorial (5-1) went on a 13-2 run to begin the fourth quarter. The Juggernauts outscored the Tomcats 9-6 in OT.

Adam Lalonde led Ashland with 17 points. Zander Carter scored 15 and Hoskins 11.

The Tomcats play Butler County at 6 pm on Saturday in their last game of the KOB.

Ashland will be home Dec. 27 for the AIT. Lloyd Memorial is also participating in the AIT.

Ashland. Three overtimes, three losses.  Has to be tough on the team. Doesn't get much easier with the AIT looming. I think it's more mental right now than physical. When you can't focus it's hard to make shots and when the shots aren't falling it's hard to focus. A vicious cycle. They'll be alright. "Endeavor to persevere".
