I thought Corbin got wore down.  Late 3rd qtr they seemed to start running out of gas to me.

Yea I was surprised how they quit the qb took a knee on a sack, I thought they had great size but overall didn’t seemed a step slower.

From the State Championship thread for PT and FC:

PT has always had talent. The teams have been undisciplined. This team has more discipline than others I’ve seen , there not perfect but it should be enough to bring home a State Title.

WHO'S NEXT?
Actually it was Corbin that was flagged for multiple unsportsmanlike penalties last Friday, PT actually showed a good deal of restraint. Really kind of bad look from the Redhounds late in that game.

snakesnot_2000
Yeah but I saw multiple face mask penalties against PT. Anyways I’m confident PT is going to win the Title.

Yes I was extremely shocked at how undisciplined the redounds was, at one point it was a 5 min interference on a call come to find out the redounds  took the refs hat and gave it to a coach and they hid it. The ref told them they had two minutes to give him his hat back or he was going to call so many in sportsman like penalties…

I was mind blown at some of the things I heard from one of the guys on the chain gang.

Do you think there has been a more talented team out of Tilghman than this one in the last few decades though?

The PT teams in the late 80’s & early 90’s had some dudes.

Also the PT teams from 2002-2003 with Joe Casey, Hunter Cantwell, Curtis Hamilton, Lamar Alston were super talented teams as well.

Red Dead Redemption
it had more to do with the adults in the parking lot cussing at our kids as they unloaded off the buses (I personally tried to ring a hand bell to cover it up along with other adults) and then being met by PT players taunting and cussing also as they entered the field that set the tone. I do wish the Corbin kids were able to blow that off but some did reacted to it instead of just taking the taunting on the chin. this same PT team in 2020 stood at the 50 yard line and did the same to Corbin's 8th grade team so they should have expected that kind of poor sportsmanship from this group. this is one of many pictures of the very aggressive pregame taunting by PT players towards Corbin players and coaches before the game even started.

This is absolutely unreal childish behavior if true.

Untrue, I watched this transpire. some how this refs hat ended up on the ground behind or around the players and a freshman player picked it up and was holding it more confused than anything and the ref started looking for it but the player didn't know because of a lot of people standing between him and the ref. the ref then started talking to the coach and the player didn't hear what was going on and there was several people behind the coach and then the coach turned around and asked the players behind him if they had seen it and the player heard it and handed it to him to hand to the ref. I could however see how it could have been interpreted as bad blooded because of the high emotion of that point in the game. but I watched it from the stands confused by what was happening and it was just bad communication in a tense moment in my opinion. I seen nothing that would have made me think it was malicious.

JagNation
Ok good, I heard there was a lot of tension and emotions but that struck me as odd. I've had my run ins with refs but nothing like that. Thanks for the clarification.

Happened both ways, Corbins players were yelling obscenities and flipping off the Tilghman crowd during warmups!

Tilghman is a very good football team!

Tilghman took a punch from Corbin, settled down, adjusted, and just did their thing.
