Yes ,unless their parents would move to the school district where they plan to play. If they don't move they would have to sit out a year.

I don't believe they're going anywhere, and why would they, they have gotton plenty exposure by the media, and right here, going to a bigger school means they would have to compete with at least 100 other students and may not get on the team, they already have minutes on varsity and may have to sit out a year anyway, unless there's somethin' really special about them they may not get to play varsity soemwhere else anyhow. Not to say the boys can't play because they can.

Does it apply to an 8th grader?

You have 10 semesters of eligibility in high school. If you are an 8th grader and play varsity ball, you would be ineligible to go anywhere else and play ball unless your parents moved. Otherwise you would have to sit out a year. :rolleyes:
