I came home from Cooper and Boone game to watch this.  Tough loss for Lloyd.  Hopeful the Juggs can build on the tape from this game.

They definitely can build on this game.  If I was a Lloyd parent/player right now I would be happy.

I am not surprised that Lloyd kept this as close as they did. They have come along since losing to Newport Catholic to begin the season. Congratulations to the Knights on winning. I know losing isn’t fun but I think Lloyd fans and supporters should feel good overall about where the football program is.

I’m surprised Lex cath won the game, I thought Lloyd was well prepared to defend the pass, dropping 8 in to coverage they took it away. Lex cath didn’t help themselves with 4 turnovers, blocked punt, and 2 missed extra points. If you told me this was going to happen before the game I would say they can’t win.

I totally agree! In the first half Lloyd went for a fourth down on the 11 yard line and a fourth and goal on the 1 yard line and the Knights defense held the Juggs. The score could’ve been a lot different, but you have to give the Knights credit. Their defense stepped up when it needed to. Then the second half the Knights went to the running game and to me that was the difference. If Lloyd could’ve capitalized on another score, maybe two I think Lexington Catholic would’ve stuck with the passing game which wasn’t working for them. With the score at 14 to 6 there was plenty of time for them to check out the running game and that’s exactly what they did.

I only saw the fourth quarter but it seems to me if Lloyd did not throw on every play when they were driving to take the lead with 8 minutes to go, could have won... Run the ball occasionally.
