The Rebels of Todd County Central (2-3) come into Steele Stadium to face Owensboro Catholic (6-0). This is a district matchup and last year's version saw the Aces win by 50.

How close this is comes down to one question: how is Brady Atwell's ankle? He went out last week for the remainder of the game against Crittenden County and has had a few tweaks throughout the season. If he doesn't go, Dremail Carothers will step in again to takeover the snaps at QB. He finished with 169 passing yards and 2 touchdown passes last week. Chris Burns had a pick 6 to highlight a defense that dominated Crittenden County and will be asked to do the same to TCC.

This should be the Aces' game to lose regardless of Atwell's status, but it would be nice to see him get some snaps and show that the ankle won't be a longterm problem.

I say if his ankle is tweaked, then stay off of it. Sit out!!!  Why risk further damage.

Carothers can run the office just fine. The passing game didn’t seem to lack at all when Atwell was out!

Honestly, I think O'Cath could blowout the remaining teams on their schedule without playing Atwell. I think you keep him healthy, play him enough to keep him in tune with the offense and in the best condition possible, but they need to be looking for what is best for the playoffs with him, not the regular season.

(Final note - I think it is possible they would beat every team in 2A minus three without Atwell, which is wild. 2A really top heavy.)
