Freshman Ludlow 35 NCC 31

Featured Replies

Very nice win for Coach Blake Clary and the freshman Lady Panthers. I was not at this game, but from what I have read on here, the NCC freshman team is suppose to be pretty good with some talented players, so this sounds like a really good win for the ladies. Coach Clary in his first year as a head coach at the freshman level has done a great job with these young ladies, and has had a great year so far.

This game was in the first round of the 9th region freshman tourny. I dont knwo any of the other results from the other games, so if anyone happens to know the other results they could go ahead and start a thread on it...

Taking nothing away from the win for Ludlow, the stars in the NCC Frosh class are playing Varsity and JV. I believe the Frosh team only has two Frosh on it but the grade school students playing are talented so it is still a good win.

I must say I didn't know that. But you also might not know that Ludlow has on their freshman team 4 middle schoolers. One of the starters is actually a 7th grader, and also one of the other normal starters, wasn't even able to play in this game. So its pretty close actually when it comes to both freshman teams have alot of grade school players on the team, so yeah it was definitely a really good win! :thumb:

NCC is a good team. The problem I have with NCCs policy is the girls playing up, also are playing for their middle school. If your good enough to play for the high school, what are you getting out of playing 7th and 8th graders? I would think the parents would have a problem with this scenario.

That's the problem with playing grade school students on high school teams. They should be playing on grade school teams playing against other grade school students. If that means no Frosh team in a given year then so be it.

It doesn't seem to hurt Ohio basketball teams.
