Newport is open suddenly and surprisingly as Coach Marcus Harris announces he will no longer be in the position. He seemed to have Newport headed in the right direction.

    Coach Harris off to Boone County. That makes total sense. He deserves the shot. Now who comes in this late in the game to takeover at Newport?

    He didn't have to say that. Minor issue but that stuff bugs me.

    Beau Menefee is back to coach the team after a season away. Job opening has been filled and it's a good hire. That's a former region coach of the year at Campbell County now back on the sidelines for the new Newport AD who also has big-time Campbell County connections.
