Yes and no. I am sensitive to anything that sounds like conspiracy type talk etc. I don't think the Celtics had one second of a thought about needing to extend the series and no one in the NBA or elsewhere talked to anyone about how we need to stretch this out, let alone proposing any action to purposely extend the series. Sorry. Just my sensitivity to all that type of talk.

Agreed on all counts. In particular, their dominance is what stands out. It's extremely rare that you see an NBA team win their games by an average of double digits. They won their regular season games by an average of 11.4 points per game. The only teams that I know of that have won by at least that margin are the 71 Bucks, 72 Lakers, and 96 Bulls. Combined with only three playoff loses and handling a Dallas team in the finals that seemed to be clicking on all cylinders, they will definitely draw comparisons to some of the great teams.
