The dust will barely have time to settle from semifinal #1 before the Mustangs and Aces stir up more. They're both familiar faces in the state tournament, with O-Cath advancing to Lexington three of the last four years and McCracken County having never failed to qualify in its decade-long program history. 

The winner here produces an unofficial champion of WKY to clash with the best Louisville has to offer for all the marbles.

The Mustangs carry a state leading 1.27 team ERA, with several quality arms to choose from. The Aces counter with their own formidable staff, including Luke Quinn, Barrett Evans, and Luke Hyland, all with 40+ innings pitched and sub 2.00 ERAs. 

Two WKU baseball commits will share the diamond: multi-sport stud Brady Atwell leads O-Cath in average (.356) and RBIs (33), while Miller Green swings the biggest bat for McCracken with a .447 average and 33 runs driven in. Green was just awarded Kentucky's Mr. Baseball for 2024, and also sports a microscopic 0.54 ERA. 

Game time and location: Friday, June 14th at 1:30pm at Kentucky Proud Park.
