Final. A very entertaining opening game to the tournament. The Hornets will play the Spencer Co./Great Crossing winner on Friday at 11:00am. Congrats to Magoffin County!

Aden Barnett leads all scorers with 24 points on 10-21 shooting & 4-4 FT shooting.  Walker Russell added 14 points & 7 rebounds for Magoffin, while Zane Whitaker finished with 13 points & 8 boards.  

Perry County Central was led by Carter Castle & Trayten Woods who both scored 14 points.

Magoffin's all-time record at the state tournament is 1-0. Magoffin improves to 22-13 and Perry County Central's seasons ends at 22-14. It is interesting that these two teams had the 4th and 5th best RPI's in their respective regions.

Castle for PCC had 14 at the half and his Uncle’s defense for Magoffin shut him down completely in the 2nd half.  Could be mistaken but I can’t remember him even getting a shot in the 2nd.  Blood is thick, but not thicker then a Sweet 16 victory.
