Not much gets better than Saturday afternoon baseball. The Highlands Bluebirds and the Covington Catholic Colonels (both fresh off wins against Walton Verona) will do battle in Park Hills at noon. If you cannot make it, I'll be live broadcasting the game on bluebirdsradio.com .

CCH with a dominant 10-1 win. It was the Charlie Dieruf show, a Grand Slam followed by a HR. 
 

Eli Wagner was  steady throwing strikes. This follows up a nice win against Walton Verona where Zekl was striking them out left and right.  
 

Benke w the loss, Birds used a total of 4 pitchers.

Not sure who is the ace of the staff.  They are pretty deep and I think it will shake out in a few weeks.  Barth, DeSylva, Wiggins and Schneider all have good enough stuff to be an ace.
