BG pulls the upset and will likely win another Region 4 title. Brilliant coaching by BGs Calvin Head as the Lady Purples played an airtight zone to try to smother Lady Cat MVP LaReesha Cawthorn and dared FS to shoot threes. FS complied and was 2-18 at one point behind the arc. BG drove inside against the FS man defense and scored layup after layup. BG led by 5 at the half and went 7-7 with 3 triples in the third to go up by 19. FS got within 5 in the 4th quarter after some improved defense and shooting but it was too little too late. NaTaya Wardlow is the BG point guard, she was the shortest player on the floor but has a huge game. 

FS finishes at 30-2 with most of their players coming back on this junior loaded team.

Great season; tough loss @FSfan. Can't wait to see what Coach Taylor and the Lady Wildcats have in store for us next season. Hopefully a "Queen of the Commonwealth" tourney invitation will be in the works.

First one of the State Media Top 15 to bow out, but we will lose at least two more in 9th and 16th.
