RADIO GUY
A great game with a playoff atmosphere. Owensboro wins on a 10-12 footer with 0.8 seconds left by Jamison Johnson after Apollo had tied it up with 16 seconds to go. Owensboro jumped to a 14-4 lead before Apollo fought back to take the lead and it was nip and tuck from that point on for both teams. Owensboro goes to 14-4 Apollo 14-5. Both teams are tied with 1 loss each in the district, as earlier in the season Apollo won by 5-6 against Owensboro. Jamison Johnson led Owensboro with 16. Apollo led by Carlos Alas with 16. Tyler Brown no field goals (only took 6), but ended up with 6 points from the free throw line, as Owensboro was all over him. First meeting this year Brown had 25, so Owensboro defense was much better prepared.
The Professor
How many players does Apollo have back from their state runner up team from last year?
westsider
I believe that Tyler Brown is Apollo's only returning starter. I think three graduated and Ben Duvall opted to concentrate on football.

Thats is correct. Also Logan Robbins who saw a lot of action last year decided just to play baseball this season. You got to give OHS a lot of credit for shutting down Brown, however, he did get some good wide open looks that he normally hits most nights. A times they played a box and one on Brown. If OHS is able to control tempo they will be tough for anyone to beat. You can definately tell that there has been an upgrade in coaching over the last several years.
