Final from Ashland Blazer High School. Good scrap between two quality teams. Miller was the man again for Covington Catholic (17-5) at both ends of the floor. Even when his offensive and rebounding production slacked a little in the second half, he was an ever present deterent for Ashland (13-6) around the basket, defensively.

Ashland didn't have a good shooting performance in the second half and they couldn't buy a free throw. In the end the better team won. Good luck down the stretch to both teams.

Really nice bounce back for CovCath following the Cooper loss, hammering Highlands last night and beating a top region contender on the road. They at least have a few days before Campbell County pays them a visit.

Ashland has a good George Washington (WV) squad coming in on Tuesday before Round 2 with Boyd County, this time in Summit.
