Final from Owensboro. The Lions (14-3) claw their way past the Bobcats (16-2) to advance to tomorrow's semifinals against Lexington Catholic. Boyd County trailed by 16 at one point, but tired legs may have caught up with Bell County after playing the same five players all 36 minutes. The Bobcats have dropped two straight after a 16-0 run to start the season.

High Pointers

Boyd County ? - Cole Hicks 25 | Drew Smith 21 | Jason Ellis 14

Bell County - Blake Burnett 20 | Cameron Hall 18 | Ethan Buell 17 | Jaxon Thomas 12

Hicks has proven to be the best player on BC’s roster.  It is not even close.

He checks more boxes than any other player on the team… remove him from the team and they really struggle.  That is 100% accurate!

Again, really good player, still disagree on “it’s not even close”

On a given night, any one of 4-5 players on Boyd's roster could take over a game. Hicks has definitely been their best player lately and arguably their first half MVP. I would throw Jason Ellis into that conversation, too.
